Dr. Aminat Fagbenro holds tightly to Romans 10:14 and will use it as a guide through her PAACS training and beyond! She believes surgery and the Holy Spirit will equip her to reach the ends of the earth with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Fulfilling Her Call to Missions
The Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) attracted Dr. Fagbenro because it trains African Christian doctors to become Christian surgeons who will meet surgical needs and share the hope of Christ with their patients. Results are achieved through a deliberate academic and spiritual curriculum. She chose PAACS because it is the only surgical training program of its kind where she can gain quality surgical skills while fulfilling her mission calling. She plans to serve God in any African country where there is a great need for both surgery and the gospel!
Open to God’s Love
After finishing her first year of training at SIM Galmi Hospital in Niger, she has already gained a new perspective of reality in a rural community in Africa. The variety of backgrounds and cultures within the PAACS program has provided fellowship and continual encouragement. Her personal relationship with God has deepened, but she knows there is more. She is opening her hands wide to receive all that God’s love has for her now and in the future. She has also witnessed patients giving their lives to Christ through an understanding of the love God has for them. God is being acknowledged as the Great and Mighty King!
