What We Do
The Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) is a strategic response to the need for surgeons, anesthesiologists, and obstetrician/gynecologists in Africa. PAACS trains African physicians as surgeons and related specialists to care for the poor and the sick. PAACS also disciples these trainees to share the love of Christ with their patients to bring hope to those who are suffering.
-
"My calling as a surgeon is to reflect God's glory through my work. As a PAACS resident, I have the privilege of sharing my faith and praying with my patients while addressing their physical needs."

News and Notes
Three PAACS alumni in Ethiopia are collaborating to offer short-term surgical training rotations for fellow graduates. These hands-on opportunities in ENT and laparoscopic surgery aim to strengthen skills, share knowledge, and foster unity within the PAACS community.
The PAACS program at CEML in Angola recently hosted a Saline Process training for residents and hospital staff, with 40 participants from across the hospital. Led by Dr. Augustin and Dr. Sobekwa, the course equipped attendees to better address patients' spiritual needs. With plans for additional trainings, CEML aims to equip all staff in this impactful approach to whole-person care.
