In February, Kibuye Hope Hospital had a White Coat Ceremony for its new first year residents, Leilla Muhimpundu and Fine Ineza. One special fun fact is that Leilla and Fine will be the first female general surgeons in Burundi when they have completed their 5-year program. There was also a foot washing part of the ceremony, with faculty washing the feet of Leilla and Fine. This is modeled after Jesus, who humbled Himself and washed His disciples’ feet as a way of loving and serving them.
