A Month Filled with Continued Development and Training

On September 3rd over 50 PAACS graduates gathered at Brackenhurst Conference in Kenya. This first Continuing Professional Development Course was a wonderful success thanks in large part to PAACS Academic Dean Dr. Chris Moir, Dr. Drew Huang, Pastor Ed Scearce, Pastor Robert Yanduya (PAACS new Associate Spiritual Dean) and Rachel Huth. Please see the Academic Dean Report in this bulletin issue for more information. This CPD conference was immediately followed by a Train the Trainers program offered to both PAACS graduates (in thanks again for Mercy Ships’ sponsorship) and Faculty members. Allowing mutual encouragement on an educational level and deepening the educational competence of over 50 attendees, not to mention the relationships that were rekindled and formed that will be used as springboards for high impact mentoring and discipleship across the continent of Africa.

PAACS dedicated discipleship focused Faculty Development followed. With over 40 in attendance, this was the largest course hosted by PAACS. As PAACS Spiritual Development Committee under the leadership of Pastor Ed Scearce finalizes the newly required Spiritual Discipleship Program for Program Directors, current faculty members gave a taste of the profound spiritual content. We look forward to seeing the in coming years and decades lasting impact on training and discipleship throughout PAACS and beyond. Much thanks to all who made these events possible, Mercy Ships, PAACS’ Deans and other admin staff. Pray with us that the Lord will multiply these efforts for the advancement of His kingdom and glory.
