On November 24, 2025, at the invitation of Moses Kasumba (PAACS Mbingo General Surgery graduate, former Malamulo Program Director), Drew Huang (PAACS Associate Director of Education) and Fadipe Akinniyi (Tenwek Hospital General Surgery Program Director) made a site visit to Ishaka Adventist Hospital in western Uganda to assess the hospital for a possible future PAACS General Surgery residency. The team was warmly welcomed by Executive Director Ian Ivule and Medical Director Isaiah Kule. The hospital, founded by Adventist missionaries in 1948, hosts a well-reputed College of Nursing and College of Allied Health Professions. A recent building project added two operating theatres. PAACS looks forward to further discussions with Ishaka Adventist Hospital as they continue to grow their campus and surgical capacity.
